Thanks Mark! I really wasn't sure about the cake and camera one! I didn't even share it on social media as I wondered if it would make sense to people (I also like to think of ideas that apply beyond just this direct series).
Definitely makes sense, I'm the guy at the buffet who doesn't choose the cake because there's so many people watching. I'll always try and go back later though!
Also in one of my last posts about washing hands I was going to include that having an attendant in public bathrooms pretty much forces people to wash their hands, same sentiment.
YES! It's funny as just a day ago I was thinking about how just before the covid lockdowns there was this big deal about handwashing and it revealed how few men washed their hands after using public bathrooms!
I like banana versus cake, not sure if it was on purpose, but with the grays versus the white, you can feel hear the sigh of resignation as he takes the banana 😁
I don't think I was considering that! If I remember correctly, my main thought was to show where the camera was watching (and highlight the camera) so I wanted a spotlight (and now I can think of a better way). And so the figure couldn't be in the light. I do like that connotation though!
So true. It's one of the things I go bad and forth on in terms of details. Sometimes a detail adds some extra charm and meaning, but too many details stop the viewer from imposing their own ideas on the image. Especially the figures!
Nice! The dark mode one of 8 was the one I was least sure of (I didn't share it on social threads) but was my favourite to think of. I didn't know if it worked well on its own.
Excellent way of presenting these ideas, your images make the ideas so much easier to process. I like the cake and camera one.
Love the format. Thanks Chris.

Thanks man!
I spent a while on this as I wanted to get these right.
Have you got a fav?

That one of the benefit of using visuals, the reader can easily add a personal meaning to what is presented. 🙂. Anyway amazing work Chris!

3, 8, 9, 10... dang all stuff so good.

Great, now I’m sad I spent so much time on similar books instead of just bookmarking your post. Great issue 💪
Wow, packed with value and amazing visuals!
Love this post! I posted about habits today and how they can hold you back without you knowing.
