Sketchy Ideas #15 - 10 rules of Ikigai and stealing a path
Hi I'm Chris and this is the sketchnote roundup, a weekly curated selection of sketchnote resources with interesting content, style and some tutorials too.
If a friend sent you this newsletter, you can get your own by subscribing at the bottom (there's an unsubscribe link there too)
Content: 10 rules of Ikagi
I've normally seen Ikigai as those overlapping circles, so Dr Lewis's sketchnote caught my attention.
I'd be curious which of these rules you think you could do better at?
Style: Rob's path
I love the way Rob uses the path style sketchnote layout. In a way, it's just three columns, but adding that faint background line gives it momentum.
It's very easy in Procreate or another layer based app. Just select a large brush, choose a colour similar to your background, add a layer underneath and draw the pattern. You can add the path at the start or the end.
Here’s mine based on an article on neurodiversity from Ness Labs.
Bonus: Tips to refresh your sketchnotes
So I decided to try something very different and share some sketchnote tips on instagram.
What are you working on this week?
I'd love to see what you are working on this week (doesn't even have to be sketchnoting or visual related).
I'd love to get to know you and the other people who read this newsletter.
Thanks!
