Welcome back to Sketchy ideas.
This week I have a sketchnote to inspire you and a series of visuals you might like.
I hope you enjoy it.
How to create a culture of ideas
I work in a marketing team, so ideas are our bread and butter. I discovered this little sketchnote this week and it has some great ideas I’ve seen help at work.
One aspect that stood out to me is how the culture has to encourage risks and help each other. After all, everyone has bad ideas sometimes, but if you crush the bad ideas, no one will want to share the alright or even good ideas.
The style also works well to me. It’s simple, but it’s easy to see what belongs to what section. The large letters confused me a bit, perhaps making the keyword they relate to black with white text might work better? Or an icon to represent each theme?
What do you think?
A series of mental models
Imagine if you could upgrade your thinking.
Mental models are the closest I’ve come to doing just that. They offer a new way to explain the world, look at a problem, or find a solution. So by gaining a new model, you can shortcut a whole load of complicated thinking to find answers faster.
That why I started a series on my blog sharing some of the most common mental models in short visual.
You can check out the first one here.
Congrats on getting to the end.
If you’re new, don’t forget to check out the back catalogue for extra inspiration.
See you next time!
